AAU has been a leader in human trafficking support services since 2010. We are Utah's largest and most comprehensive human trafficking victim service provider. We envision a future where survivors thrive in dignity, safety, and self-sufficiency, supported by well-informed and united communities actively combatting human trafficking. With a Human Trafficking Survivor Support Center located in Salt Lake City, with statewide reach, we serve Utah's human trafficking survivors of all ages, genders, trafficking types, and immigration statuses.
In partnership with the Utah Attorney General's Office, we co-chair the Utah Trafficking in Persons (UTIP) Task Force since 2022, working collaboratively to combat human trafficking in our state. The Attorney General's office is tasked to investigate and prosecute human trafficking in Utah while we are task to provide victim services to human trafficking survivors.
In FY25, we served 1400 survivors, made 1700+ contacts via 30 community outreach events, and trained 1500 community members on human trafficking awareness and prevention.
